If there's one city I'm passionate about and always love to visit whenever I can, it's Paris! The French capital, also known as the City of Light, is renowned for its charming and authentic local and food wine markets.
That's why I've curated a selection of the best markets for all the food and wine enthusiasts out there. In my list, I've taken into consideration mentioning places that are less touristy yet boast a diverse selection of wines and unique products!
Let's dive in, shall we?
BON MARCHÉ MARKET
Marché d'Aligre: This vibrant market is located in the 12th arrondissement. Apart from fresh produce, you'll find a variety of local and international wines here.
Marché des Enfants Rouges: Situated in Le Marais, this is Paris's oldest market and truly a hidden gem. It offers a range of fresh foods and also features lovely restaurants where you can indulge in wine tasting. Definitely, my favorite!
Marché de Belleville: This multicultural market in the 20th arrondissement offers a wide array of fresh products, including cheeses, meats, and a selection of wines from different regions.
Marché Saxe-Breteuil: Located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, this market is a well-kept secret among locals. Here, you'll find an elegant selection of wines along with delicious gourmet products.
Marché Beauvau (Marché d'Aligre aux Puces de Saint-Ouen): This market is an extension of Marché d'Aligre and is situated in the famous Saint-Ouen flea markets. Here, you can discover not only fresh foods but also a variety of rare and vintage wines.
Marché Monge: Located in the 5th arrondissement, this market offers high-quality fresh produce and also hosts some shops specializing in fine wines and cheeses.
